John comes to real estate after 15 years in the education industry. Most recently a Senior Program Manager at the Institute of International Education, John worked as a school counselor in the Montgomery County Public School system, travelled to over 40 countries as Coordinator of International Recruitment at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and served university executives as Senior Member Services Manager at Eduventures, an educational research and consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts. The real estate world is not new to John. He grew up visiting properties with his father who is a real estate developer in the Boston area. His brother, also living in Boston, is a construction manager for Leggat McCall Properties. John has been working as the Operations Manager for Urban Brokers since September, 2009 and has steadily built an insider’s knowledge of the real estate profession. John is enjoying the benefits of city living from his home in Adams Morgan after living and working in nearby Montgomery County for a number of years. A Live Green member, John is proud to shop locally, ride his bike to work (he will house hunt by bike if you are up for it), and participate in Community Supported Agriculture. He is currently pursuing his Green Designation through the National Association of Realtors.
