Urban Brokers is excited to have Crestwood resident Ed Lichorat join our team of successful Realtors. Ed and his partner have called Crestwood home since 2013. They fell in love with their free-standing Wardman Colonial upon first sight. The inviting front porch, beautiful moldings, grand-scaled rooms, and lovely backyard made moving to Crestwood an easy choice for the couple.
Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, headquarters of General Electric and American Locomotive, licensed real estate agent Ed Lichorat now makes his home in Washington DC. He has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the College of Saint Rose and an MBA from John’s Hopkins University.
Before his real estate career in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, Ed worked for the federal government. After college, he worked for the government in a variety of capacities, including information technology, operations, marketing, contracts, and finance. The work led him to live in a variety of places, from North Carolina and Missouri to Maryland, northern Virginia and, finally, Washington DC. That varied background, plus his familiarity with relocation procedures, gives Ed a unique edge when assisting clients with real estate and relocation questions.
After Ed retired from his work in government, he dedicated himself to full-time real estate sales and property management. Using his experiences in sales, marketing, and management, Ed commits himself to providing each client with outstanding service.
In his free time, Ed enjoys cooking — particularly when testing recipes for the Washington Post. He also likes to travel internationally, relax in his garden, and hit the gym to pay for his fondness for exploring good restaurants in the area.
